Cosmetic surgery is a type of surgery which is done externally on the human body to make permanent changes on the outer appearance of the skin. Cosmetic surgery does something which no other surgery can do and that is it changes the outer appearance of the human body.

Cosmetic surgery is being used nowadays to change physical appearance. For example, women who have sagging breast go for cosmetic surgery to increase the tautness of their breasts. They also go for spot reduction of fat. Cosmetic surgery is also popular with teenagers and especially young girls who aspire to have a sexy body. They go for all sorts of breast enlargement programs and other surgical procedures to enhance their sex appeal and overall beauty.

However, it is recommended that teenagers should not go for any sort of cosmetic surgery. Here are a few reasons.

Cosmetic surgery is a bit risky for teenagers considering the chemical reactions and the nature of incisions to be done on the skin surface.
The surgery can often go wrong and this can lead to disfigurement of the skin along with permanents scarring.
Cosmetic surgery is a costly affair and the cost of any type of cosmetic surgery is very high and often the cost is borne by the parents. It should be done on matured adults only.
The body’s immune system is not that well developed during the teenage years and can cause problems after any cosmetic surgery. That is the reason why many doctors recommend cosmetic surgery after the teenage years are complete. Any change in the body is felt by the body’s immune system and it reacts accordingly to the changes.
Cosmetic surgery involves methods which are meant for an adult body and not for young teenagers body which is still dveloping. The methods are unsuitable for children especially.
