Skin Lightning After Child Birth

If after pregnancy you thought that your body had seen all the changes and now it is over, you are wrong. You’re still in for some big changes, as your body recovers from pregnancy and labor and adjusts to its new demands like breast-feeding. A well informed woman can use this time to heal her body properly and give it rest & care that it needs.

During pregnancy, most women experience some form of hyper-pigmentation. Such as a linea nigra (the line that runs down your belly) or melasma (darker pigmentation on your face), both of which are believed to be caused by an increase in estrogen. After you’ve given birth, these lines will fade, but they do so very slowly and they may never disappear entirely.

Best prevention is to avoid sun exposure, and use SPF 30 or higher sun cream.
